Service Quality Indicators

The service quality indicators are defined on the basis of the Directive of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport no. 102/2009 with the Directorate General for the supervision of motorway concessionaires and, for Concessioni Autostradali Venete S.p.A., they constitute an equal number of management objectives, namely:

  • travel safety
  • service regularity
  • comfort of service
  • services for travellers with disabilities
  • customer information
Please refer to the relevant section in the Service Charter for precise details of the reference standards and their monitoring for each indicator mentioned above.

The ongoing review of the contractual obligations will entail the adoption of additional indicators defined and measured in accordance with the TRA rate systems, which will provide for periodic monitoring of the planned indicators.

Sub-concessions

CAV S.p.A. has two sub-concessions on the same number of service areas, called 'Arino Est’ and ‘Arino Ovest’, signed prior to the issuance of the measures provided for by TRA Resolutions no. 130/2022 and 1/2023.
Upon the expiry of said sub-concessions, as well as upon the conclusion of any further sub-concessions signed ex novo by the Company, quality indicators shall be defined in accordance with Measure 15 of Annex A to TRA Resolution no. 130/2022 and Measure 15 of Annex A to TRA Resolution no. 1/2023.

The results of the verification activities carried out under the same measures, as well as under industry regulations in force, will be made available in aggregate form.
The Company has the power to carry out checks, through its officials, on the prices stipulated in sub-concession contracts; in particular, the checks carried out consist in verifying that the prices of the goods are regularly displayed and visible.

The monitoring of the checks carried out by the officials during 2024, at a frequency of 2 per month, did not reveal any non-compliance in relation to the two service areas named ‘Arino Est’ and ‘Arino Ovest’, nor in relation to the two additional service areas, named ‘Marghera Ovest’ and ‘Marghera Est’, which were not sub-concessioned as they insisted on private land.

The new sub-concessions, stipulated upon the expiry of the above-mentioned ones, as well as any further sub-concessions signed ex novo by the Company, shall provide for commitments and price monitoring and control mechanisms in compliance with the provisions of Measure 14 of Annex A to TRA Resolution no. 1/2023, as well as with the provisions of the industry regulations in force.
